If you've made changes based on YouTube tutorials, etc. The NVIDIA decoder just doesn't work that well with certain formats. Is it variable frame rate footage? If so, I recommend converting to constant frame rate before editing (search for tutorials on this- free tools can do the job). Please share Media Info for exactly what media you are using. ![]() Note that legacy AVC can't decode 10-bit footage. Please go to help/update drivers and see if there is a newer Studio driver (not GeForce gaming driver) you can download. I looked up your CPU and it doesn't appear to have an integrated GPU? That's too bad as Vegas works well with Intel video decoding.Īnyway you have a GTX 1050 (which I also use). Green screen normally indicates an issue with the GPU decoding. But I will welcome any suggestions for getting V18 to work better, or suggestions for a different video editing program. Not sure I need an answer to anything here. Does that exist?ĭo I hope for Vegas19 to finally be the one that works smoothly? Arrrgh. I need a program that has a great UI and clip editing functions like Vegas, but is rock solid like Premiere. But by comparison, I can't stand working in Premiere, where it seems to take me three times as long to do the same things as I would in Vegas. Why is that? Is there something inherently in Premiere about the way that it handles video clips, that Vegas could just adopt? Or is there some kind of thing I need to do within Vegas to get it to be more stable? If not, I really gotta get out of this program. I loaded the same footage into Premiere and it looks solid and everything works perfectly without crashing or glitches. Any video file I put in has glitches in it (flickering green screens), and it just crashes time and again. That's always been the case, and yet I always update to the new version hoping it'll be better, but then it still crashes a ton. it just has no stability for me, whatsoever. compared to Premiere and DaVinci and Corel and everything else I've tried, the way you can edit and move and otherwise work with clips is super fluid and waaaay more user-friendly.
